I just bought a t lock call blocker last week. It did a beautiful job blocking the call. The number showed on my caller id but I didn't hear a sound from my phone and I was setting next to the it having breakfast. These calls have been a nuisance for the last 3 years. I have call intercept but they just call from another number. The intercept only holds 20 numbers

Will not stop calling
The phone number is the telemarketer for United States Armed Forces Association. We have received about 20 calls over the last week with most of them hangups when we answer. Today I received such three calls and finally had someone tell me who was the caller....US Armed Forces Assoiation. I called the number listed on their website 800-882-1316 x126 and left a message for Joe Steinburg. He returned the call within an hour. I explained what ahd been happening with the calls. He asked for all my information and that he would notify the telemarketer to remove my name and number from their call list. He apologized several times and said he would immediately take care of my complaint. Would advise anyone receiving such calls over and over again to call Mr Steinburg directly to register a complaint and be removed from the call list.
I turned them in to the FTC and the BBB. They are relentless! I happen to be going to Maryland in October and I plan on stopping at their office Silver Springs Maryland and get some issues resolved with these jerks or kick some ass.
The guy asked for my husband, I asked what he was calling for. He started talking very fast so I couldn't have a chance to talk. Asking for money for armed forces, etc. I finally spoke loudly and said "Stop". He stopped talking. I informed him that when we want to make donations, we look for the organizations and choose that way. We do not give to phone solicitors due to too many scams out there. He laughed out loud at me. Then I hung up.
A hang up call from a telebeggar. I called back and the recording announced "United States Armed Services Association" I believe it to be a scam using this business model :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Navy_Veterans_Association
FRAUD FRAUD SCAMMERS
They say they are collecting money for the armed forces. When I asked them for their physical address they spelled the name of the city wrong. There is a website - usarmedforcesassociation.org. Don't know if it is legitimate or something the scammers put out there to make them look legitimate. They wanted to send me a pledge card, but would not send it unless I promised to make a donation. When I refused to give them anything over the phone, they hung up on me. On the surface, this is a scam. Why would they not send a pledge card to people who want to donate. They get bulk mailing rates, so the cost is low. As the phone number is not in my name, I know they are robocalling. Stay away from them and do not give them any information or money.
Offered to mail and then transferred me and next person wanted "debit or credit card". Weren't too pleased when I insisted on "Mail". Wanted to know how soon I'd send it back.
no one is on the line
I was just contacted by a male who was asking for donations to send care packages for the soldiers in Iraq. He sounded genuine, and indicated that they had 3 levels of donation, $30.00 $40.00 & $50.00. I requested that he sends his envelopes in the mail. He further noted that he would transfer the call to his customer dept. to ensure that I was not contacted again. When the female service rep. came on the line, she tried to obtain credit card information, and asked if I could send my donation within a week. I then reminded her that I would review their envelope before making a decision to donate. Is this a legitimate agency working in the interest of our troops, or is this just a scam?

These people originally called to ask for Mrs. Vinson. No she doesn't live her and before you know it they are trying to get me to donate, Yes I verified that it wasn't her phone and not her address and by then they had my address. Already had my phone. And as they were asking me to donate, kept calling me Mrs. Vinson. I told them I was partime and couldn't donate much. They settled for $20.00. Well I received the statement and then ended up in the hospital. When I got back they called to verify I was still sending it. Didn't seem one bit concerned that I had just had a heart failure scare. So as I'm putting all this together I looked it up on the internet to see SCAM!. They do have a web site, but something still telling me SCAM. So I looked at the first page on them, Didn't have any contact information regarding the change of there name. And when I do further research on one address in peticular HI. I see an address, no office number multi business building. and their name not listed on the business in the building. Then I find this site. Which brings it all clear to me. SCAM 101! They may have my number, address. But they sure do not have my information for the bank, credit. I told them I would have to send a check. So if they call again I will tell them what I have found and see how they react. Maybe even go down the the City Marshalls office with all my infor. We will see. But no money sent.
