I am getting 3 to 4 calls daily from this number why are prisoners allowed to torment people when they are supposed to be locked up with NO RIGHTS! I can't answer the call because the system wants me to accept charges. Really? Isn't there a number we can call to get it to stop?

I got a call yesterday from this phone number. I didn't answer but the voice mail got cut off in mid sentence saying it could only be a 5 min call depending on which facility he was calling from. I know that my ex boyfriend is in jail and I'm guess it was him to bail him out... He's at the rockwall Texas jail. So I am almost positive this is not a scam for me.

it says that it's a collect call from a prison in Ohio but its different people calling and they don't stop either.

I route some calls to an IVR (phone menu) -- it never rings my phone they are sent directly to be tormented hello? 4 second pause hello, who is this? 6 second pause wait, I don't understand 10 second pause why are you calling me 8 second pause hey hold on a sec 19 second pause ok which line were you I have a few here 12 second pause I'm not sure 4 second pause yeah that 6 second pause wait someone was whispering to me can you repeat that last thing? 5 second pause no, the thing before that one 6 second pause yeah yeah 12 second pause yup 18 second pause what the F-CK did you just say to me? 6 seconds that's not what I heard 8 second pause uh huh 12 second pause it continues... and increases level of VERBAL ABUSE they called me so to ENCOURAGE removal of my number I AUTOMATE WASTING THEIR TIME & MONEY it goes on and on with longer pauses and LOUD profanity agents take notes on calls... the more negative feedback they have in THEIR system about MY number the sooner THEY will VOLUNTARILY STOP calling me I don't mind paying $0.001/min to automatically abuse them into deleting my number. (forward call to SIP URI, voip service with IVR feature like vitelity, anveo, voipms) It's waaaaay more effective than being polite otherwise cite them as being in violation of + Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) + Fair Debt Collection Practices Act § 806. Harassment or Abuse [15 USC 1692d] + Fair Debt Collection Practices Act § 813. Civil Liability [15 USC 1692k] Find an inexpensive lawyer and file a CIVIL ACTION against them for COSTING YOU money on a phone you pay to receive calls

Received two missed calls and two cut off voicemails at 7:30AM on a Saturday. I did not accept, but later received a local call from the county jail. Sure enough, my boyfriend had been arrested. Not a scam for me.

Received call from this number. Apparently correctional facility in Atlanta. Recorded voice was recognized when asked to accept call. Accepted call. Legit.

Received a similar call but I know the person calling from jail and recognized the name so this does NOT seem like a scam. This was in Suffolk County, NY.

This is not scam is actually the phone service jail uses to allow inmates call family and friends. Yeah if the inmate don't have funds this calls will be collect for $9.99 for 10-15 min. Is the secure way inmates can make phone calls and they are recorded.

Got a call from this number, figured it was a friend who recently went to jail, but the phone hung up right after I accepted the charges.....wth?

This number called me at least 4 times yesterday. I answered once, and it was a recording from the county jail, but I could not understand the last name. Said the first name was Michael. I only know a couple of Michaels believe it or not, and could not imagine either one could be in jail. Plus, I have no credit card. They called again at 4:30 this morning. Which is, from what I understand, breakfast time in jail. I was lead to believe our cell phones did not accept collect calls anyway.

same thing happend to me but instead of 4:30 it was 1:00pm and it was micheal and im 20 the only micheals i know dont know my number and wont be calling me anyways so i called them and had them block my number so they cant call me anymore its not a scam it a actaul company just something not going right

Called the number back today. This sounds like a scam to me to get your credit card. I sure as hell do not know anyone in jail. I called the number back and one of the prompts gave me this website: www.securustech.net

what the hell? i got a call from 1-866-847-1215 to my cell phone. some guy in the saginaw jail. he is from texas,and they wont let him call his wife. so what does he do? looks up a random number(it was me), he wanted me to call his wife and tell her stuff. i hung up,and i may call the jail tomorrow and complain
