This is a scam - always ask for an invoice showing what you owe before paying anything. If they area a collection agency or a business, they can and will provide documentation showing a balance due and what that balance is for. NEVER give your credit card number out over the phone - people can charge anything they wish to the credit card. A helpful hint to everyone... get a copy of your credit report regularly. You are allowed to get a FREE copy of your credit report from each agency per year. This is a great way to stay on top of things.

I am a long time manager of a motel and they insist two tenants who I have never heard of owe them a debt from BMG. I finally managed to get to speak with a live person who insisted that as they are not tenants the motel was liable as we supposedly have rented to them!
He then insisted I give him the motels business credit card details so he could cancel the debt and stop the time wasting calls (at least one per day). When I refused and asked for details in writing he hung up on me.
As of today (Dec 10th 2009) they are still calling at least once a week and always with an automated message asking you to either call or visit their website.
To anyone reading this I would say insist on getting everything in writing as they seem to be a 100% scam.

I have had three threatining calls to say I must call them immediately or I will have agreed to something without approval. This is a new phonenumber for me and Ido not appreciate these people threatening me. The better business bureau should be contacted.

got the call in voice mail. It sounded very threatening. Told to call or visit their website (TAKHARGROUP.COM) Failure to return this call may result in a decision on a file without you input. I called and got an answering machine that asked me to leave my name and number and someone would gtet back to me. The website has a place to put your phone # and zip code and supposedlty show why they called you. I tried it and it said that a file could not be found. I owe no debts so is this some kind of scam?

Calls come in after 8pm from 1-866-408-8299 !! I have NO idea who they are. I am permanently disabled and do not appreciate calls that late, especially when I do not know why they are calling.
