Automated message; asked to call back immediately without explanation.

Apparently this is a scam collecting agency that harasses people multiple times per day.

This is a classic case of PHISHING for information. It leaves a pre-recored generic message only sayng that "It is important YOU to call us back....." should be a red flag for SCAM. They are looking for people who might owe money to anyone. If you call them back, they will then harase you to provide your name, to whom you owe money, your updated phone #, address, etc. They will then either sell this information to your creditor, or collect for them for a fee. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. It is a scam.

phone 20 times a day, no one on the other line

This phone number has been calling 6 times a day. Web blocks have clearly indicated it's a none stop annoying phone number

They are harassing me about an old account with another company, even they asked me some personal info like BOD, current address Bank info e.g. when i ask how they are and where they are call from they don't tell and hung up. They keep calling, again and again and again also I got some call's from this local number (416-224-8936) when I called back number is disconnected. I don’t know but one thing I am sure it is very big scam.

they been calling me all day since 7am and wont stop when i ask them who they are thay say they are not allowed to tell but they wont stop calling until they speak to some specific name but this is my phone so they got the wrong number in their dialler and they wont take it off

Hang up/prank call. Can tell that someone is on the other line, but they immediately disconnect or say nothing for about 2-4 seconds and then disconnect. Call frequency has been anywhere from 3-8 times a day ranging from 0700h to 2300h

They are very persistent. They call several times per day. They ask for names that do not live here. I still don't know what they want. I am on the NO CALL LIST !! Obviously that LIST does not help!!

They keep calling because I will not give them another contact number for the person they want to talk to - now they are calling just after 7am mountain time. What is this nonsense and who changed the law from 8am? I sure didn't get a chance to make comments to my government rep on this proposed change. I believe in the privacy laws - it is NOT up to me to divulge personal information I have on anyone. I have since spent a good deal of time posting on the web to make sure everyone who receives such calls is aware of the 2 year rule. Do NOT talk, acknowledge, pay a cent or make arrangements to pay anything to collection agencies. By the time the creditor has "sold" your delinquent account to the credit agency, it has already significantly damaged your credit bureau report. If you do any of the above, the 2 year period begins all over again. They cannot sue or take any action against you in most provinces after 2 years, but that does NOT stop them from trying to intimidate you into doing so. Search the net BEFORE having any dealings with them. Hang up on them, don't answer the phone. Do NOT change your telephone number or they try to "SKIP TRACE" you by calling relatives and neighbours to get your new#, & embarrass you. They Cannot call you at work if you tell them you cannot receive calls from them at work. Do not have any dealings with them - they are one of the few industries that grow in times of recession on the back of people's misery. They are paid only $10 per hour - the rest is commission they receive from collecting your account. They don't want to make "arrangements" they simply want your money to boost THEIR paycheques. They are the bottom feeders - they produce nothing & do not benefit society in any manner. They will eventually quit calling you if they realize you will hold your ground & not pay a penny, afterall they are only after their commission & won't waste their time on someone who won't pay. Know your rights!
