keeps calling with automated machine asking for some one else. first off you want to call my cell phone at least be a person not a machine asking for some one else.

Oh god, these people are amazing. The calls started a month ago. Same voice.... Hi, this is Heather with Sallie Mae.... Call is for "Magdalena Wilson" yada yada Ummm, it's not me. No one that I know. Never heard of Sallie Mae before this bull started. Everyday, same thing. Was once a day at about 6:15PST. 7 days a week (weekend times in the morning). Now it is 3 and 4 times a day at different times. I have called them MANY times and they can never find my phone number or name in their system. Operator said they would email a supervisor to have it removed since they can't find an account with my phone number. They even looked at different spellings of the account name. Of course, when I call from home, it would say that it recognizes my phone number, but they still can't find it. I even recorded the message on my iphone for the operator to hear, but still no love. Keep in mind, I don't have ANY loans. Even my house is paid off. zero debt. If you google my name or phone number, I am the only one that comes up. Note: They did have a madgalina, but she was in Texas and they confirmed that the phone number was different. My name and number are not listed as even a cosigner or even a contact to anyone. Every 3 to 4 days, I would call and they would email a supervisor to at least check into it, but nothing happens. All in all, I was able to resolve this ONLY by blocking the call. I called Verizon (now Frontier) and explained the issue. AMAZINGLY, the operator was not only named Heather (like the sallie mae automated voice), but she had the same problem (although she did have a loan with them several years ago). So, putting me on hold for 5 minutes, she was able to get me the call block feature for free. So, now I do NOT have to put up with damn Sallie Mae anymore. (Call block is good for 12 numbers for same price which is $3.50 a month, but free for me). Highly suggested, even if you do owe someone money.

I have caller ID & tried to call back the # they called me from & the wait was going to be over an hour, I did a search for other #'s for Sallie Mae & found this info: 888-272-5543 & a fax # 800-848-1979. I called the 888 # & with a little patience & number punching I got ahold of a rep who said they would remove my #, so now we wait & see??? Good luck to the rest of you, also try sending a fax stating they have a wrong #, that will be my next step if this one didn't work.

Don't know who this is but they suddenly began calling multiple times a day, never leave a message and don't identify who they are, they just hang up.
