They call me twice a day. If the voicemail picks up, they hang up. When I call them back, a voice says, "Just a moment please," and then hangs up on me. I googled the number and it seems like they're a fake collection agency.

I've gotten several calls from this company last year and four in the past few weeks. What's very alarming is this company seems to be using three company names it goes by from my research. Which is the right company name? The people calling don't leave messages, and the in the last two calls, there were just beeps -- never a message.

I am usually very skeptical about a company that is using more than one company name, because then my guards are up to who I may be actually giving my money to and if the original creditor is going to get the money owed them. Ok, so I fell on hard times 2003 - 2008, but have been working like a stuffed hog to get my responsibilities paid off one by one and as money became available on my end. I'm a divorced single mother doing everything in my power to take care of old debts and be responsible for keeping current ones current. The ones that I know have long since reached their SOL, there isn't nothing I can do but contact the credit bureaus.

Bottom line is know who you are paying your money to. Always, but always ask for evidence (proof) of a debt before you fork over any cash. A company who cannot provide you with a receipt that the money has been paid to the original credit via their company is obviously a crook. Be educated people, know your rights. I'm not advocating to purposely ignore your debts, but as a consumer you have rights according to the laws governing collection practices.

Lovely Lace: I can assit you with your Credit info on your Credit Reports.....I've mastered the art of fighting back with these creditors and had $7,000 removed from my credit bureaus on the SoL expirations and a Collection Agency was hired here (locally) in my area to take me to court and use intimidation tactics. It didn't work. I stated to the Paralegal who was pursuing this IF they brought me to court to pusue this I was countersuing them for $5,000 for using the court system to harass me to pay something that (legally) had been expired and since they were "hired" from another collection agency....the SoL period had expired. I WON and all (3) negative remarks were removed from my credit bureaus. If you'd like additional information and so I can help YOU....please contact me directly: Patriots1167@aol.com

They will keep calling and calling. You have to actually send them a letter stating you will only talk to them via U.S mail. Then if they keep calling you can sue. I gave up trying to inform them. So my advice to anyone is to have fun with it. They called me about 3-weeks ago and I pressed one. When they asked for Jim I told them wrong number. Like many of you she told me I was lying. I then proceeded to ask what she was wearing and if she could talk dirty to me. I won't go into great details of the things I said but she got so mad she hung up. They have not contacted me since. Try it.

same people same complaint, wish there was something to do get rid of predators like this, they are obviously getting paid to be nasty and harrassing people. They are people who like to scare other honest people into thinking they have done something wrong. They should be ashamed of their practices but I am sure they could really care less and laugh in our faces

What you need to do is "trick" them.
When they call...be NICE to them....carry on a conversation and then (politely) ask for their direct FAX number because you want THEM to fax you some info. They will LIE to you saying they don't have an email address so get their FAX number. THEN, when they give you the fax # you fax a letter to them asking for all the information on this "said debt" and you request within (5) days of them receiving your fax the next phone call you receive WITHOUT their correspondence you will file $5,000 lawsuit for violation of FTC and telephone harassment .... then ADD $10,000 damages for abusing telephonic means to harass you when they have not complied with your legal requests. This will tell these scum-bag collectors, "This person is SERIOUS!" The calls will stop. If they proceed to play "stupid" of they didn't get the info....request their full mailing address and tell them they were warned. You can file in YOUR City/State and they won't appear in court and you'll get judgement against them. THEN, turn your judgement over to a collection attorney and let them go after them. BEAUTIFUL how that works 'eh? Start fighting back!

These people keep calling -- 5-6 times a day -- everyday. Looking for someone that does not live here. They call @ all hours--- I've pressed both 1 and 2 to let them know they have the wrong number--- When I spoke to a live human, I was told that I was lying and protecting the person, otherwise, how else would they have my number. Have they ever heard of someone disconneting thier phone and someone else being assigned the number.

I get calls from this number 3 or 4 times per day, each time it is a recording asking me to press 1 if this is Jose Rivera or press 2 if this is not Jose Rivera. When I press 2 the call disconnects then they just call back every few hours and have the same recorded message, SO today (Sat) when they woke me up at 7:49 AM I pressed 1 in hopes of getting a live person. I was on hold for a few minutes, and when they came on the line, not once did they identify themselves, they only said, "Hello...Jose?" I said, "No. This person does not live here, never has, and I have no idea who this is AND BY THE WAY YOU ARE CALLING ALASKA VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING!" The person hung up. I am sick of the calls. We are on the no call list but I must get 10-20 calls a week from these people. I am sick of it.

I recieved a call from this number few minutes ago, i couldnt reach my phone on time so they hung up. I called back and it didn\'t even ring all i can hear was like someone makig out with i dont know who, then they hung up. I called again and this person from an Agency answered asking for Richard Hunter. I googled this number and I see I am not the first person they call asking for other people. This is a Las Vegas, Nevada number.
