The above number shows up on our telephone at least 2 times a day. Today, 01/24/2013, the above number called, and I was asleep, so I just reached over and answered the telephone, and a lady was on the phone. The caller alleged she was doing a survey for Citibank, and wanted to know if we went into Citibank, Wednesday, January 16, 2013. I told the lady calling that I did not remember if Ihad gone to any bank that date. The lady said she could not do the survey if we couldn't answer yes to that question, then she hanged up. I don't talk banking business with anyone, unless I made the call to them.

they claim they are the gallup poll amd use a random dialer, except they have called me 3 times in in 3 nights regardless of my request to remove my name from their list.

nevar gave them permision to call my cell phone at 8:58pm. who calls this late any wats im reporting them to ftc election poll or not. they need to follow laws and regulations. left no message on voice mail.

I actually would not mind giving my opinion to Gallup Poll, but they call and then hang up. It is ridiculous. I assume their activity will cease after the election.

She 1st wanted to know if there was anyone over living here, then about economy what I thought of it, then about what type of Religion I had, and if I had enough income to pay the bills and the grocery's,then she wanted to know in the polictical field whether I was Repubican or Democorate or independent. After we hung up I got to thinking about everything, and really when stop to think about even as a Gallup Poll none of it was her business. When the last question was asked, she wanted to know if it would be alright if she would have someone else call me and ask me more Qustions, I told her it would be ok. Since the I have chanced my mind, NO I WANT NO ONE ELSE TO CALL ME FROM A GALLUP POLL.

I've received a call from the real Gallup Poll a few months ago and agreed that they could call me back. That's why I stayed on the phone with this guy. Previously, Gallup never asked me any details about my personal information. This guy did. I gave him my street address, but as soon as he asked me my birthday, I refused to go on. Also, it seems like he was trying to be really explicit that he was typing things down, and he seemed like he had a crappy headset/phone because it was crackling. Seriously, just ask how old I am for your demographic information; there's no reason you need to know the exact day I was born.

Hmm ... I've received 3 different calls, with Caller ID saying 'Gallup Poll.' However, I think this is bogus. Person answering phone said he was from Wells Fargo, not Gallup, and when I asked to be taken off phone list, he said he didn't have to, and wasn't going to. Gee, that's pretty unfriendly - and downright aggravating. I've asked not to be called, because I consider it harassment & an invasion of the privacy of my home, but whoever this is, continues to harass us. So ... I don't think this is legit number, or company. And I've been thinking about some of the 'positive' comments posted on other sites - I'm quite skeptical that these are legit as well. Think about it - who would take the time to look up a number, and post a positive review, unless they were an employee or other agent/rep? I certainly wouldn't. Why would I? It takes a number of 'bad' calls to get me to look up a number. So, unlikely that any 'positive' comments are anything but furtherance of harassment/fraud. And I don't buy the 'gee, I'm just doing my job.' Plenty of telemarketers, sex traders, polluters, scam artists, etc. are 'just doing their job' as well. Just because you are being paid for work doesn't mean you should be doing that job. And just because you are doing a job doesn't give you license to harass people in their homes. If I ask you to put me on your own internal 'do not call' list, please do so. Quit claiming that because you don't 'have' to, you shouldn't. And for what its worth, I have degrees in political science and math, and these so-called 'polls' are at best suspect, and at worst are 'push' polls, that bias answers from the get-go -- not objective, or scientifically valid in the first place. Just say no to these calls.

They had called my cell asking for my husband about a recent trip to our bank. They wanted to conduct a survey. And they said they would call back. I just not googled the number and found this.

Was called yesterday by this number, said they were a 'Gallop Poll'. I in no uncertain terms told them that I had not asked for them to call me and that I do not want them to call me again... Very strong American accent came over the phone from the lady that was calling, but it almost sounded like an automated message, until I spoke to her!
