I just received a call form this number on my mobile--but I missed it. I am in Perth, Western Australia, so it's not just a US problem. We gets lots of calls about 'problems with Windows', but we have a 'do-not-call' register in West Aust where you can register your phone no and it makes it against the law for any scammers to call you at home. Doesn't extend to overseas, unfortunately!

Recieved 3 calls. Last time Tamayo Julio showed on caller ID. Told me he was from Microsoft and my computer was sending them error messages because of a virus. He would be happy to help get rid of it. English was so bad I could hardly understand.

called and asked for my wife but told them that this person did not live here and then hung up. would not say who they were.

I have received a call today from 310-510-9153, and received 2 other ones in the past. In the past they claimed they were affiliated with a hydro company.. hmm I thought, no hydro company calls people at random. He wanted me to download an application. I said I will not and please do not call here again. He has an indian accent. Today, he claimed he was from Microsoft. Could hardly understand him today, the accent was so heavy. He told me there was something wrong with my proxy server and that he needed to fix it and could I open: logmein.com.... I said this call is bullsh%t, my boyfriend is a techie for Microsoft....haha... he hung up!

Feel free to call 1-888-495-8501 in Canada This is the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center to report this number. The local police have informed me that once a formal complaint is made with the CAFC the offending number will be shut down & moves will be made to investigate the offender.

The man calling said he was from Microsoft and the my computer had a virus that had been reported through the trouble shooting activity reports from my computer directly to Moicrosoft. He then asked me to go to a website so he could help resolve the issue. He wanted me to give him remote access to my computer... I asked him to give me more information to prove he was legit so he gave me my name, address and postal code as proof. I hung up. I called the number and it was not in service. I belive this to be a scam.

googled the phone number and it comes up a pay phone. I didn't answer and you shouldn't answer either
