Calling wrong number asked to be removed started playing on the phone

...For these boiler-room scam artists time is money, so WASTE THEIR TIME!!! ...When you get an unwanted phone call, play along for a little while [don't let on that you're on to them] then make an excuse to put the phone down for a moment but keep them on the hook (ie; "there's someone at the door, let me get rid of them" or "the kettle's boiling, I'll be right back"). Then simply put the phone down and wait till they hang up. Be creative and make it sound legit so they don't get wise. ...Even if it's only a couple of minutes per call, if everyone did this it would add up to thousands of hours of them paying for overseas phone calls that net them nothing but frustration. ...Feel free to re-post this in other similar forums and/or send it to your fiends and family. The more people who read this, the more effective it will be.

I received two calls from them last night. First one was the same as everyone elses. We figureded it was a scam. The second time they called I played dumbed - I wanted to see what they want from us. They gave me the same story about viruses, Micrsoft, infected computer...... I tried to interruot the conversation and the guy got really angry with me and started saying onbsene thing to me. I gave the phone to my husband and the guy got even worse, nasty and dirty so we just hung up. Sad part was my son heard the whole conversation and is now really scared and could not sleep last night. So if you see this number 1-260-456-0661 on your caller id DO NOT answer your phone!!!!!!!!! Hope somebody gets those guys!!!!!!!

Do NOT answer if you do they will call many many times a day and yell at you. I have tried blocking their calls but some how they get through they have started calling at night now. I have called the phone company and fraud squad. They say they can do nothing. If you tell them not to call they get angry and call at night. They have people at their mercy. We should be able to stop this..I am angry and will continue to try and stop them.

Said he was from.Microsoft and with strong Indian accent. Told me they could see my computer was downloading many viruses. Told him that if was from Microsoft he should be able to give me my IP address and my MS license number. He Hung up.

caller tells me that my computer sent them a message about a virus that it downloaded. I don't own a computer, only a smartphone.

Calls and hangs up. Callback is a busy or invalid number.

i get a call from this # almost every day and there is no one there, I live in New Brunswick Canada

called 3 times and no response to "Hello".

calls repeatedly; others report that caller claims a need to solve targets' computer problems

Yeah got the same call about my Windows blah blah blah viruses, hard drive. Not sure they guys English was so bad. I work IT dumbasses, so asked what's my ipaddress, suddenly hang up the phone hang up the phone sir. SCAM don't fall for it.
