Thousands of EveryCall.us users have reported RoboCalls from a company that would only identify themselves as “Warranty Services” and then hang up on consumers. According to a Fox News report, the telemarketer hawking Extended Auto Warranties as “Warranty Services” has been identified as TransContinental Warranty, Inc. and is the subject of a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission.
The Federal Trade Commission is asking a federal court to shut down a telemarketing campaign that has been bombarding U.S. consumers with hundreds of millions of allegedly deceptive “robocalls” in an effort to sell them vehicle service contracts under the guise that they are extensions of original vehicle warranties.
