April 7, 2009 -  EveryCall.us was started with the goal of identifying unknown callers and helping people stop unwanted telephone calls.  Today we’re excited to announce that we’ve added to EveryCall.us information from the ultimate database of telemarketing complaints, the Federal Communication Commission’s Do-Not-Call database.  With information from over 100,000 complaints from the past two years, we’ve taken a giant step towards meeting our goal and have made this data available online for the first time to consumers.

The FCC complaint information is indexed by telephone number and contains information such as the caller name, telephone numbers, and the nature of the call (telemarketing, junk fax, prerecorded message, etc.) if available.  This information combined with user contributions will provide the most complete listing of known telemarketers, telephone scams, and junk callers available.

We’ve created a list of all caller’s identified in the FCC’s database and plan to add details and analytics about each caller in the near future.  If you have ideas about how to best use this information, please leave a comment.
