I am receiving persistent calls from 1-866-379-3222 , multiple times a day, latest call usually around 9 pm. No one ever leaves a message when I am not there. And when I picked up twice, no one answered. Another time, I asked the caller to identify himself and why he was calling, and when he wouldn’t I told him not to call again, unless he is prepared to talk to me. By my phone’s latest count they called me 18 times this week alone (Aug/Sept, 2010). Now, if it is Rogers, just how desperate are they for new business? If it’s something important leave a message with contact information, otherwise talk to me when I answer the call! If it’s another pushy telemarketer, NO or NOT INTERESTED means exactly that. F*** OFF!!!
Keep getting calls. They don't leave a message. I have read some of the other comments here. And no, we have never given our home number online for this type of service request. I am sure someone sold it to them, hence why they are calling. I used to be a telemarketer but everyone who was called gave their number to be called. In addition, I said something when I called and I respected those who said stop calling.
I got a call from this number today. I asked how much money goes to support the troops.
Answer was 20% for actual support and 80% for administrative cost! A scam!
The call came up as 800 service, but on my answering machine. The woman identified herself with Barclays Bank. Previously, I have told them that I no longer wanted to be called. I was told that they didn't follow the Fair Debt Collection Act. I sent them a cease and desist letter in April of 2010. It didn't help. Recently, I received a call from them where the representative was simply harassing me and yelling over the phone. I have since sent them a second letter saying that they are violating the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act as well as the New Hampshire statute which also applies to original creditors ( Unfair, Deceptive or Unreasonable Collection Practices: NH Chapter 358-C) and NH criminal code 644:4 Breaches of the Peace and Related Offenses). They continue to call.
On Monday, August 30, I received a call from a woman identifying herself as Mrs Black. She said that she was a Process Server from Dallas County and she was trying to find me to serve me with a warrant for my arrest for Grand Theft Fraud.
They are not allowed to give details to anyone except for the person who owes the debt... they cannot even leave any detailed info on the answering machine, incase the info gets overheard by a 3rd party (like if your friends are visiting)... after 7 years since the last activity (the last time you made a payment or written contact wih them), they *CANNOT* tell anyone, who wants to know your credit score, that you have a debt, but they *ARE* still allowed to continue to chase you for the money due to them. I believe that if a court orders you to pay it, that they can collect on it for up to 20 years, but I could be wrong about that part. Where did I get my info from? A very dear friend of mine is a collector :)
I'm the recent victum on this scam. Aug. 30, 2010. This kind of people dont really have any consciousness do they? There are people out they're with difficult situitation. They are maybe losing their house or just trying to find extra money to pay their loan. As for me I have two loan to pay with total of 30,000 and i'm still a student trying to become a nurse and no job. With my situitation I was just trying to help my parents to pay my schooling for all they have done for me. Recently my lola (grandmother) just passed away and were tight with money that's why i decided to go with the grant.
I don't know what the scamers reason as to why their doing this. What their doing is bad. Tricking people. Getting someone else money.
People might not see their intentions (through their scam) but LORD JESUS sees everything. He will JUDY us at the end. Whoever is the victum in this scam including myself will get our JUSTICE
I received numerous calls from them today -- I finally answered and this guy was offering me all sorts of gran t money. Being that I am going to school I was wondered if they were legit. When he said there would be a small fee of $2.95 I told him I would need to research them out first. Praise God for this website -- he is supposed to call me tomorrow, so I will definitely tell him "hasta la vista baby"!
The Breast Cancer Society calls all the time wanting money. I gave once and they want me to give every month. Next time they call I'm going to tell them to buzz off.
886-656-7159 called my WORK!!! I work for a correctional facility and they left a message there. IDIOTS!!! I don't know what they want but my supervisor advised me it sounded like a scam and people fishing for information. Do not respond to this number! Call the police immediately to at least make a report.
If you recieve a call to call this number it is a scam. They are a call center pretending to be a CRIME investigation unit for Payday loans. They are fraud and are not a real company. They harassed me for months over a year ago. And now all of a sudden they got my friends numbers a year later. They are calling my friends telling them if they are responsible for my debt and could go to court or jail........ The caller id when they call i just a bunch of zeros. When I call and tell them I know they are scam artists and I have no loans all they do is laugh. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY.
I called a number on the TV screen for a Kymaro Body Shaper and at the end they start with all the free magazine subscriptions you will get. You can't cancel, because the number they give you has two options and they both say the same thing, which is to get back to the thing you ordered in the first place. Once they get your credit card number they have you hooked and there is no way out. But, when my credit card gets hit, I will cancel then and protest.
I called Capital One TWICE and verified that this number does NOT belong to Capital One. If you call it repeatedly, you get the same five or six people. They're trying to steal your information. Anyone on this site who says this number is legitimately a Capital One number is wrong and, may be in on the scam. Go to www.donotcall.gov and file a complaint. Let's see if we can get these f---ers shut down... today.

seriously, can these people stop calling me? i've had these guys calling me several times in a matter of hours not only once, but 3 times in 3 separate occasions. what do i have to say to these guys to make them stop calling me?
TruGreen Collections :: They have been calling my cell for months using several different 800 #'s the latest is 866 802 6986 always looking for someone named Michael.. The last 800 # they used I called & left a message & it was actually a legitimate number & business.. Today when they called I called back & got a person & let the steam off on her in addition I registered this 866 802 6986 with the Do Not Call Registry so if they call again I will just file a complaint & they will receive the $$$ fine..
voice mail started out with music as if i was on hold, then a man got on the line and asked for me pronouncing my name wrong. then said if this was not me, to hang up as this was a call regarding a debt collection and personal information and if i continued to listen to this message that i was agreeing to the terms and acknowledging that it was me?
he left this telephone number and said to call back regarding personal important information

It calls every day and leaves message when I don't take phone. Recorded message syas they are trying to collect a debt, I don't have any! How to stop it?
I've been getting a rash of these calls lately. Even AFTER I called Citi and verified the info. I checked it out. Its legit, but i only use my card for two recurring monthly charges for the last 5 years, So what is up with that? Suspicious activity? Perhaps its my lack of activity and they are goating me to use the card more often... They say that it was operator error in not removing my name from the automated caller
these people are very bazaar the lrft a 866 # then when u call says their out of the calling area lol this t866-932-6802 is not publicly known so that will clearly indicate its not a company of any kind !
This number always comes up as Toll-Free Call on my Caller ID. If it is actually Capital One then they should have the balls to put their real name on the Caller ID. If it says Toll-Free or Privacy Manager, then I just don't waste my time answering.
