This company will not stop calling me 2-3 times a day. I have talked to them too many times. Have sent them the info they requested as the account that they say I owe on has been paid in full monthe before the collection agency received the account. I wish I could get someone who would listen to what I am saying instead of trying to get their bonus. They are calling my cell phone so I have stopped answering numbers I do not recogonize I figure if it is important they would leave a message.
About two weeks ago, I received several calls on my Caller ID from 800-568-0162 . After several calls from this number, the calls ceased, but then almost immediately, I started getting calls from 800-945-6596 . Now, for the last seven days, my Caller ID screen indicates an average of seven calls a day from 800-945-6596 (I usually get 2-4 calls in the morning and then 2-4in the evening). These calls come in succession (about an hour apart). This pattern suggests to me that these are very likely automated calls.
It is interesting, I think, that when I used Google to search 800-568-0162 and 800-945-6596 , that both of these numbers were linked to GE Money Bank. What is more, I have a spotless credit record, so I fully expect that this collection agency may not actually be trying to contact me - but rather trying to locate a delinquent customer who has somehow become associated with my name or telephone number.
About a year ago, I had similar harassment problems from two very notorious collection agencies (NCO FINANCIAL and MANN BRACKEN, LLP). They where attempting to locate a delinquent account. They harassed me daily for several months - so I finally made a formal complaint to my State Attorney General. After a two-month hassle, I finally received assurances from my Attorney General’s office that my telephone number had been deleted from these rogue collectors’ files. These calls did cease for nine months, but now it appears they are starting all over again.
I have done a very extensive search on Google for the telephone #s 800-568-0162 and 800-945-6596 . So far, I have found only two postings that link these telephone numbers to NCO FINANCIAL. However, the tactics being used by 800-945-6596 are strikingly similar to those I experienced with NCO FINANCIAL and MANN BRACKEN, LLP.
I am wondering if there is anyone else out there who might suspect or that can link NCO FINANCIAL or MANN BRACKEN, LLP to telephone number 800-945-6596 ?
I am not defending GE Money here, but I find it very hard to believe that they would stoop to such low life practices. They would have too much to lose if they were discovered doing this. I believe it is very likely a ruse or fraud being used by a very disreputable collection agency
Called early in the morning with no message. When I called back, someone with an Indian accent answered immediately. He said they were some diversified investment company calling for someone else...
Okay- FINALLY someone spoke to me. It's an ACT Prep thing. Do you have a student in High School? That's it. I can't believe how many times they call per day. I'm on Do Not Call list, so I don't know how they got my #- I'm guessing the School sold it.
These people call and interupt, just to hang up on me>? what the hell? Who is this? Theyy keep calling non stop and everytime hang up. Very very annoyed!
They called me and gave me personal information that i DID NOT SUBMIT online, saying I did. When I asked to speak to a manager of course the ONE they have is not available. Then when I asked how he got my info again he raised his voice and got smart, while I was trying to figure out what kind of identity theft was going on and was not helpful but very rude. If these people call you be rude first. They won't tell you how they got your info, and you didn't ok them to have it.
Called me @8:30 PM, offering some saving on my power and gas bill, he told me the remaining of this call will be recorded than keep looking for a reason to call back later.
He did not give me any defined rate or price, nor a time when he will call me back.
It was a complete wast of my 8 minute.
This is a fake citibank card. I called the number on the back of my card, and the account rep there said they had never called. The lady on the number said she was from citibank, but couldn't find any account info just given my name. She claims that there is some problem with the card. THIS IS FRAUD!!!
Yes I owe them money but they call at least 10 times a day 24/7. Harassing me is not going to change anything. Actually it me provoke me to file BK just to teach them a lesson.

This company calls me all the time and leaves me messages with an automated service. I have picked up and told them that I am not the person that they are asking for, but they still keep calling.
They called me yesterday and today. Both calling from separate numbers. Its a collection agency trying to be slick by disguising there phone calls with an automated call which in NYS is illegal.
whenever this number calls me they say theyre a career advisor and when icalled back it did say it was ome career advisor. They have called several time sand said that i signed up at some job.com but Ive never been on that site! I think its a scam soi just hung up when this guy called me from this number.
Person called saying it was Bank of America and they wanted to send me 3 credit reports if I would verify my name and address and answer 2 questions...SCAM!!!!
Never had a Capital One card but they are calling 4-5 times a day and hanging up on me when I answer. When you call back they can never give you an answer as to why they called and they will try to get your number off the calling list. But it will take up tp 30 days to get your number off. They call at all hours (730 am on saturday) and noone has any idea what is going on.
This number called me and knew my personal information. Knew my name, address, and my SS#. Ever since, I've gotten emails from credit cards and other places. Please find out who this is. He calls and calls after me hanging up. He is harrassing me!
