Ditto, same story as everyone. Two solutions for cell phones:
1. Use the free TrapCall and block any numbers you wish. It's easy to use and really, truly free: www.trapcall.com
They also have increasing levels of services that you may pay for each month but the freebie is excellent.
2. Add the pests (this works for any annoying telemarketers) to your cell phone contacts with a descriptive name. I used the name "Drugstore pests." Then go to this website for instructions on downloading a silent ringtone if you have an iPhone; do a Google search for silent ringtones for other cell brands: http://www.mylittleportal.com/call-block-cell-phone-number-iphone
All you have to do then is assign any pest contact to the silent ringtone. The calls will only show as "missed calls." Yay!!
I think I came up with a solution for these people. They don't seem to be able to remove your number from the account or, for that matter, enter notes that it is an incorrect number for the client. BUT, you can call the number back, say you're the person they're calling and that you've changed your number. They can change numbers, not remove them. Give them a local police department or other Law Enforcement number. That should get them off your back... Good Luck!!!
Telemarketing number on my cell phone. How are they getting access to cell phone numbers in Canada. The number is San Diago CA based. I called them back pretty annoyed and they just hung up on me.
I too received,a call on my cell from a telemarketer( first time ever) As we now have a do not call list in Canada on land lines they are now taking to harassing on cells,..which will now become a cost factor re:airtime.The calls are not local so what purpose do they achieve calling into Canada from out of country
These poeple called me and called be. They said they were calling for my exwife (been divorced 15 years) said they were from her pharmacy or a pharmacy discount company. After telling them 3 times not to call and then calling them again I have anew plan.
I know wait and then after they start talking I call them every name in the book its great stress relief.
They are just scaming you. Dont be friendly really let them have it.
These people keep calling, say they will take my number off, they call looking for John Haggerty and no one of that name has been attached to this phone number for over two years and I don't know that person. Samatha Fee (if that is her real name) says they will take it off. But they still call. she claims she is a manager. I filed a complaint on the do not call registry. Hopefully if enough do they'll do something about it. I'm afraid that they are so big it doesn't matter to them.
Pheonix Health - selling prescripton drugs or rathing pushing prescription drugs. Barely speaks english and tries to make you say okay so they can bill you even though i said NO.
These assholes call continually throughout the day. We have put a block on our phone (panasonic) but the phone still rings at least once when they call. My husband calls them back to try and harass them but they don't care. I don't know what to do. They always give American names and have heavy foreign accents. they say they are are out of San Diego but that is not true.
I have been getting calls from this number for about a week now. They always ask for my husband or hang up on me when I do answer. Last night, I actually got to speak with one of them, told them we are not interested and take us off of the call list. We received 7 more calls back to back after that. We are now talking about just getting rid of our house phone for this reason.
I have received 21 phone calls from this number, I've requested the number be removed...I call back the number and it's disconnect, never a supervisor available
These people call on the daily, many times in a row and weeks after we've asked them to remove us from the calling list, calling even 15 minutes after we've asked them to remove our number. When you complain they hang up, it's insane!! We can't stand the phone ringing anymore. They just called again, twice in the past 5 minutes as I'm typing this. Unbelievable.
I have the same problem with these people. There are a couple of things you can do in addition to complaining to state and FTC. These people get this number (858-926-4423 ) from a Telco called OI Communications. Call them and email them and demand they do something. Ask to speak to a manager. The contact information is below.
Yea, this is Phoenix Healthcare and they will not stop calling me either. They said there is no manager here and that it would take 24 to 48 hours to get my number off their list. They claimed that I ordered pain killers from them and they want to keep me abreast to their offers. I have never ordered any medication from a 1.800 number or the internet. I don't even understand how they can give you meds without a doctor. I called the telephone company to tell them about this harassment. The operator was very understanding and told me that she would block this number from getting through to me. But in the same breath she said they will still get through because they'll continue to spoof their number. At this point my local, county, and state police all have reports about this agency. Every time they call I record the call. It ranges from 5 to 10 calls a day and sometimes its once a day or a couple times a week. I do not know what to do, maybe the FCC can help. I doubt it they're probably calling from some 3rd world nation where they have no jurisdiction.
Have been receiving calls from this number for two weeks now, sometimes more than twice a day. No one is ever on the other end of the phone. I just filed a complaint with the DNC registry, I don't know what good that will do though.
These people will not leave me alone. I was working from home on Oct 3 and they were calling every 5 to 10 minutes -received 17 phone calls in all that day. I'd answer and no was there or they'd hang up. A real problem for me since every time they'd call it would kick me out of my work server and by the time I'd get reconnected they would call again.
After calling the number back, I finally reached someone and they said they were Phoenix Healthcare and I had ordered from them in the past (I haven't) and they wanted to make me aware of their specials. I asked that they stop calling. They said it would take 24 to 48 hours, but I would be taken off their list.
It is now a week later and the calls have not stopped. I have made two phone calls to them today and received the same reponse - they'll take me off their list, but it will take 24 to 48 hours. I've asked to speak to a manager or whom ever is in charge, but I am told that they don't have a manager.
I'm hoping a complaint to the FCC will end the calls.
I got a text message on my cellphone from para@tva.org. It said, "Call us at (858)-487-0974 and verify your City County CU account identity immediately. Thank-you
