jeff bryant called twice today. first time told him he had the wrong number, no one here by that name. next time he called, he got rude called me by another name, told him again not here, wrong number. kept calling me previous "owners' name, finally asked who he was and who he represented, hung up. called number on caller id...fax machine, reverse look up of number, got name of company and called them to file complaine against jeff and them if harassing calls continue. brown and joseph should make sure they call correct number before making repeated calls

I have a police whistle,I'll pick the phone up and say nothing I just wait and as soon as I here someone (within several seconds) usually from INDIA I blow like hell then hang up. Now I dont do it every time. I dont want them to become use to it. Once a day maybe, or every other day and just once. Mix it up, drives them mad. I would love to see the look on there faces. This is collectors for Chase. Told them they reap what the sow. In 2007 I paid off 3.5 million in small business loans, had an 830 FICO score, and had ran my own business that employed 30 people for over 16 years. Then the banks decided not to make small business loans any longer because they had taken bad risks on buying up junk mortgages. I held on by operating on my savings, my retirement, and my kids college funds, but was forced to close my business and lay off all my employees. Now I can't pay them back... their loss. They made their bed. They can get a judgement against me, but can't attach what isn't there. By law they can't take my medicaid and foodstamps, so screw them. I also advised my employees not to bankrupt themselves trying to pay these crooks, they got our tax $$$ with the TARP (JP Morgan/Chase) bailout.
My phone is a company phone and not assigned with a particular name. These people keep calling and it is very annoying and disrubtive to the business. Any way to make it stop.
someone from this number continues to call 4-6 times a day. no one is ever on the other end. it is an automated system trying to get us to call back, yet there is never a message. If they want to talk to me they need to have a live operator contact me.

I keep getting texts from this number about events at bars. I did not sign up for this service & have tried to unsubscribe by texting back "unsubscribe" but with no success. I tried calling the number and got a recorded message saying for more info go to www.textpub.com or maybe www.textclub.com . Neither url seems to be a valid website.
It is Chase. I've signed up with Google Voice and updated my contact information with Chase to my GV's number. At the time this has been the only place where I gave this number to, and surely enough the calls from this weird number promptly started coming in through my Google Voice account.
They have called 2 times so far just since yesterday and the first time they left a 2 second voicemail, but didn't say anything. I know I never registered with them because I have been looking into UMass Amherst.
They called my husband's cell phone at 4 different times Thursday 9/17/09. The first two times, he did not answer and they did not leave a voicemail. The third time, he did pick up and an automated voice said, "Please hold for an important message." Then, he hears the automated voice say, "All of our representatives are busy; please wait for an important message." Obviously, he wasn't going to wait around and just hung up. After the fourth call, someone actually left a voicemail. Not sure if it was a man or a woman as it was very hard to hear them. They said the message was for my husband, their name (didn't catch it), and that they were from Chase. They said they had some extremely urgent financial information to discuss with him and to please return their call today at (888) 638-4956 . Then the person says, "If I can just get blank blank (could not decipher) to this issue," and then there was this long pause. Maybe the person had to take a breath because they were talking way too fast or they took a sip of their beverage. Then they finally came back on the line and said how late they would be there and once again repeated the (888) 638-4956 phone number. I did hear at least one other man in the far background talking to somebody else during the voicemail. I did a reverse phone lookup and the number is a landline based in Elgin, IL. The same website that has information on this number (http://www.intelius.com ) apparently also has information on the (888) 638-4956 number. Unfortunately, the free result page does not give a location of the number unlike the report for the (847) 488-6050 number and I can't afford to pay the $4.99 fee for the complete report. That's all the information I have. I hope this helps!
They claim that I owe them money when I have proof that infact the company that they are representing owes me money. When I called them back I asked if I could send them proof that I didnt owe them a penny and they said it doesnt matter and I need to pay it.
We donated a substantial amount in the way of clothing and toys to needy families. However, this organization will call and hassle you repeatedly even when told to put your number on their Do Not Call List! Some states have rules for fundraisers in that they are exempt from this and can call you regardless. Even if this applies, I am still complaining about this organization as they have been intrusive and been harassing us for 2 years. We will never, give to this again!

just so people know, I see people here confused - recorded number if you were expecting this call press (any possible digit) - it is ebay's verification process so someone may be trying to use your phone number to verify a fake account or something.... if you don't know about it and get this maybe check with ebay or just let it stop.

got a call from this number. it seemed to be a automatic voice in french. i didnt know what he said so i hang up the call after few seconds. 10 min later i saw that my paypal account had a transfer of 500 $... it seems that somebody has been hacking my paypal account.
I don't have a card with the number that they say and I am not the person that they say also. And after their first call, they keep calling when I am in my office as well as when I am at home (i.e day & night). I usully ignore calls from this number. I don't know what else I can do, so I searched online and found this website. Hmmm, I am frustrated. I may have to change my phone number if they continue to call.
It's a security measure by Ebay. They use this number & call from it when you (or someone who has hacked your account...) requests certain information or changes to their Ebay account. Ebay then use this automated call to you (on the number you have registered with them) to give you a 4 digit pin. This pin is then used to verify the requested change.

faint Automated message - "If you are expecting to call back six" and "If you are expecting to call back seven" each repeated in each call
Call says, "This is eBay, if you are expecting this call, press 1"
If you hang up, it calls you back off and on throughout different times, sometimes it says, "press 9" or other numbers. I reported this number to our home telephone service provider.
About 7PM CET my phone was ringing and the voice on other side said if I expecting this call then I have to press a number or if I don't except it, then I have to hang the call. Can't understand who could call my number? From where those bastards had my phone number?? Grrrr
