Got a call from 814-234-7699 saying I had underpaid my BofA M/C and if I gave them my checking Acct#, I would avoid a $39 penalty. I told him I *never* give personal info to anyone who calls me, but I would check it out and square up the acct. However, when I checked my records, I discovered that the number he gave me does not match my BofA VISA account.
Yep, this guy tried to SCAM me, but I politely refused.
NEVER give your SSN# or Acct# to anyone who calls you.
Identity theft will cost you a LOT more than a late fee!!!!!
Debt collector calling me asking for information about one of my relatives, I didn't give out any information because I refuse to do so on the telephone!
It shows up at Person to Person on my phone, but is a telemarketer for Gevalia coffee. I get these calls daily, sometimes several times a day. I am on the no call list and have also written to Gevalia demanding that they stop calling. Nothing works.
this person has called my multiple times, saying their name was Hillary. I told them they must have the wrong number, as i dont know anybody by that name, and she said "then why did you call me". i have looked at my dialed numbers and didnt see her anywhere, and its beginning to get really annoying.
