Receive at least 5 calls per day...never answer and they never leave a message...complete waste of my time and minutes...not sure how they have my number or why they are calling but it would be nice if someone would put a stop to it
The first time they called, I didn't recognize the number, so I just told the caller that the person they wanted wasn't home, to find out who was calling. They said Vista Marketing and they'd call back, and boy do they ever, about every 2 hours! If they did buy our info from a product purchase, would like to know which company, so I can make sure not to use them again. And also to give them a piece of my mind.
The caller did not identify themselves, but called me by name and wanted to know if I had 5 minutes for a political call. I said no, but the caller asked: was I a registed voter, if I was the person who was the home owner, and wanted to know the year I was born.
What a scam! Who knows what they will try and use this info for!!
The call came up identified as Research Center
...Thanks for the info registered on 08/09/10
With a search on Zabasearch (www.zabasearch.com ) you can find some personal info, too, but I thought this was enough to give people some options to contact those in charge.
I live in Hawaii. Yesterday (and some previous not recorded) at 11:25pm HST a female voice....I said I am not interested.
Today at 1:40pm HST a male (Hispanic) voice. same number, {231} 224-2211. I started by asking, "why am I being called?"
He was not polite from that point on, and started telling me that he had every right, by the CONSTITUTION...etc. etc.
I just hung my receiver up...... Within 60 seconds, my phone {Caller I.D.} rang again....same number {231} 224-2211.
I let it ring...2 rings and stopped...after 4, my recorder wouldve come on....I do not appreciate these weired calls.
Thank you. John
called my cell phone didn't ans. left no message when I called the number back from anther line recieved recording about a package delivery....which don't exist because I haven"t ordered anything. If these people are being reported how come noone is doing anything about it.......like disconnecting the phone lines????????????????hello is there anybody paying attention to whats going on except the ones being harrassed.
This Rude Woman from 231-337-2140 who had obviously had way to much caffeine called and was yelling into the phone something about Grocery and Gas Coupons. She was obviously calling from a call center. Because I heard many others Yelling at there phones in the background. She had the last four digits of my brand new credit card number. Which I had just had replaced because of another scam like this. Which enraged me. She said she was going to charge me 2.98 to mail me the coupons and then 29.98 per month until I called the 800 number which would be included in the package with the unwanted coupons, I told her I needed her Name and her supervisors name and the name of the company she represented and she hung up on me.
They ask you to categorize the call and then you will print out(5 pages), fill out and then copy/scan back in to your pc(cannot save typed info), adding as an attachment, added to your complaint. It's directly to the FCC. We'll see. :)
Best of luck!
This is yet another number, similar to 231 337 2142 offering "free gas".... They call me 5 to 6 times per day, even though I am on the DO NOT CALL Registry, and have REPEATEDLY told them THANKS NO THANKS - DO NOT CALL ME!!! These jerks have got to be stopped!
I have been receiving calls from both 231-337-2142 AND 231-337-2140 and when I tried to call them back on a land line (just a fax line) it stated what everyone else is saying, a recoding of "This is an attempt to contact you about your order." I have no order and no order under my Fax Number so this is an obvious scam. I block their number on my cell and will be reporting them to the FTC since ALL of my numbers are on the Do Not Call Registry.
I receive several calls a day from this number leaving a voicemail stating an order I placed would not be shipped until they receive confirmation from me???????? I finally answered the call. They had my name, address, and last 4 digits of my credit card number stating that I made a purchase on the internet within the past 6 - 9 months and that I would be receiving a $120 gas card rebate or something like that. You can barely understand the name of the caller or the company they're calling from. I told her to remove my number from theyre calling list, she simply said "ok, no problem it will take up to 72 hours". Beware of whatever scam this is.

I just had surgery--true not an excuse. Onle reason I answered cell was it had same area code as my sister in MI. Man said it was about my Visa card and gave correct last 4 didits. Then he tried to sell me a gas rebate card. I said no--can't make decisions on pain meds--man kept trying to talk me into giving my whole credit card number so I hung up. He calle 4 more times the same day. Last call my family answered and told him to F8 off so he finally quit bothering me.
Keep Calling with the "Customerservice" ID they keep repeating my name but leave no message as to what they need or want. They just want to get me to pick up the phone, I am tired of being harassed by people who want something from me or want to sell me something I don't need.
this is the company called Mountain West Research Center.
it's website is www.mwrcenter.com
they do not fall under the "do not call national registry" as explained under it's website
under the Link "why did we contact you" in the right side of the website, it explains everything and how to be placed on the list to be excluded from future research related calls.
if you simply ask to not be a part of the research, you will only be excluded from That study, and will be called for future surveys and for each person in your household.
good luck.
(by the way, there are phone numbers listed for employment if you are interrested in being a part of the problem...)
Called twice in two hours, when i call back its a recording about a package "I ordered", altho I haven't ordered anything. they have the last 4 numbers of my credit card which they correctly identified. research online looks like they bought my name and last 4 numbers of credit card off another company. SCAM. FRAUD. DONT FALL FOR IT.
weird call, no message, but also got another call right after from same area code, 231-824-3902 . Neither left a message, when I try to return the call, I get silence and then a disconnect. If it's a telemarketer, I want to know how to stop the calls, if it's a bill collector, I'd like to contact them. Would appreciate any info, if anyone figures it out.
I have received at least 7 calls from this number by 2:00p.m. today. Harassment hang-up calls. I just posted my number to the do-not-call list - again.
Our unlisted telephone number was called at 6:50pm on 1/22/09. Name on Caller ID was "Credit Pro Max". We believe that the call was generated by an autodialer.
Called received at 6:40pm on 1/13/09. Name displayed on caller ID was "Debt Consolidation". Since our telephone number is unlisted, company must be using an autodialer to place calls.
The call came in at 12:51pm on 1/6/09. They did not leave a voicemail message. The display on the caller ID read: TFMBC. The call must have been generated from an autodialer since our telephone number is unlisted.
Someplace in Traverse city, MI
No message on the cell phone. Gotta be a telemarketer.
They are almost as pathetic as the scammers in Nigeria using the e-mail.
They must get some sucker on the hook, cause why would they keep trying unless someone falls for it.
Diamond Processing
I have told them before, several times we are not interested. They claim they have a rep in our area and they are wanting to sell us a credit card system. Today was the THIRD time I have talked with them. This time they hung up on me. The first 2 times I told them we were not interested and to not call us, but as you can see, it does not work.
