guy with an Indian accent said he was with "Global Healthcare." I've been harrassed by a US Pharmacy telemarketers for years, can't get them to quit calling, even though I always ask to be taken off their phone list.
Live in Okinawa Japan (on military base) and have VioP phone number (listed as San Diego) and got this call at 2AM this morning. Didn't get to the phone before they hung up - now I'm glad I didn't. GRRRRRR...
they said i won 10,000 dollars. they needed my date of birth and my social security number so they could verify it was me. i can't wait to get my money.
There are three of these guys. I call them Larry, Curlly, and Moe. They are some real gerks. I have told each of them I am not the person they claim I am. They are looking for a James Hutchins. Curlly cal often and insist that I told him I am James Hutchins.
I just move to a new location and got a new phone number and these guys started calling. I am filing police reports for telephone harrassment and hope I can get this to a point where I can get them in court.
has called my number a few timies, I don't know much about it as I havent had the opportunity to answer yet, but I certainly do not know anybody in PA.
This ought to get things rolling along...

SPAM Caller from your phone company - DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.Thursday, August 26, 2010 7:28 PMFrom: This sender is verified"Harold Thornburg" Add sender to ContactsTo: abuse@pacwest.com Cc: alzbetamadragana@------.com
I'm going to be nice about this - at first.
One of your subscribers, from Newtown, PA, has been using your system to illegally call cell phones - mine especially. I'm registered on the National Do Not Call Registry, both in US and Texas.
The number that keeps calling is: 215-944-8989
After doing online search and found out that these people are calling cell phones and landlines all across the US and some in Canada.
They will leave a spanish message and those who speak spanish have reported on www.800notes.com that if you give them your bank account number they will deposit winnings in it. Even if you never entered anything they still claim you 'won' a bunch of money.
Then your bank account gets cleaned out.
Please DISCONNECT this number.
I'll give this a week, after which I report it to the Do Not Call Registry, along with a copy of this email; therefore,
YOU HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.

Received a call from this number on 8/25/10 at 9:10 IN THE EVENING. "No name" came up on the caller ID. I did not answer since if I don't know who it is, they don't deserve to speak with me. Just for curiosity I called the number back, and the line was busy.
These guys are on a rampage, calling numbers randomly. Got two of my numbers, totally different exchanges (429, 505) within minutes.
Google search shows they've been at it for years.
The caller ID is fake, and these guys probably have no connection to PA at all other than choosing that number to fake. They could be anywhere in the world, well beyond the arm of the U.S. law even if they could be found (which they probably cannot).
They will probably never stop, because people are stupid enough to give them the info they want, and then they clean out the bank account.
I RECEIVED MY SECOND CALL IN THE PAST WEEK FROM PH#215-944-8989 . THE FIRST TIME I MISSED THE CALL AND TRIED TO CALL BACK AND IT SAID THE NUMBER WASNT IN SERVICE. I FOUND THAT TO BE VERY ODD. WHEN I FOUND OUT THE # IS IN PA AND I DONT KNOW ANYONE THERE I DIDNT ANSWER TODAY WHEN THEY CALLED AGAIN. INSTEAD I GOOGLED IT AND WAS ALARMED BY MY FINDINGS OF OTHER PEOPLE RECEIVING THIS CALL ASKING FOR CREDIT CARD INFO.
Recieved three calls from this number in the past hour.
Caller waits for you to answer then starts a spanish language recording saying that you have wone a prize. To collect the prize press 1, 5, 3 (it was a different number with each call). Once you press a key you are transferred to a live person who tells you that you have won $1000, $500, $1500 (it changes with each call). Then states that they need your bank account information / debit card number and expiration date so that they can deposit / credit your winnings.
OBVIOUSLY A TOTAL SCAM and the number they're using is most likely spoofed - hence the inability to return their call or locate any valid owner information for it.
I have had the call twice on the cell phone. Spanish speaking. Call back to the number says "disconnected". AC sites claim it as Newtown, PA. From the number of messages over more than a 2 year period, its a busy little dialer. Hope it gets tracked down.
Called my cell @ 4:49pm, August 24, 2010. Knew I didn't know anybody from that area code, figured it was shady....so I didn't answer. They left no message.
