I missed a call and the number that showed up was 201-204-1483 . They did'nt leave a message so I called back to see who it was and what it was about. A guy named Josh answered. I told him someone just called from that number. He said he is from Global Collections. Checked his records to see who called my number. Didn't see anything and gave me 1-800-563-4929 to call. So I did and got some options to choose from and then got voice mail. I didnt leave a message.
Received two calls from East Valley Financial from phone numbers 409/866-2117 and 507/329-2273. Neither phone number is a good number.
A screener asks some generic credit related questions, then promises someone will call you back that has the ability to lower your interest rate. The closer makes some promises saying that you will be charged $700+ for a guaranteed lower rate.
The problem arises when they start asking what your credit limits are, and for you to give them your credit card number.
I told them if they were a legitimate company, that was "truly affiliated" with my credit card company as they professed that they would already have that information.
Then I told them I NEVER give out my credit card numbers to people I don't know, and hung up.
I STRONGLY suggest that you do the same if you get a call from this company.
called and automated voice attendant said "press 1 to be connected" and then kept calling. received several blocked calls with same voice attendant saying "press 1 to be connected"
I asked them for thier website, located thier contacts, got thier address, and looked it up on google earth, From there I got the names and bussiness surrounding the address given, CVS, and a few other stores, and called asking for directions to Proactive Plannind Solutions, all responses were "I am sorry I don't know of anything like that around here" "There is not a business by that name anywhere near hear" and "Im sorry I don't konw what you are talking about" so bogus address, the number they call from is 201 210 5973 but call it and your forwarded to a bogus number that can't be connected, read the fine print at the very bottom of the webiste. the want to TEACH YOU how to manage YOUR own debt. for YOU! lol.
Just received a call from this number said they were from proactive something? wanted to lower my interest rate on my mastercard if i qualified. i have a Mc but it is at 0% told them i was on the do not call list and take me off their list.

I have received 4 calls today from 210- 210-5973 . When I answer there is no one there and eventually the call ends. When I try to redial the number, I get a recording saying that this is not a working number.
Out of state, do not know who it is. This is not a relative I'm guessing from other notes a business. If it is a business take me off the list. A relative would leave a message.
Had multiply calls , with no voice. Finally talked to a woman with accent, that was hard to understand. Was about starting a home based business. Finally got my .02 cents in & told her to take me off list. She hung up.
Work at home advertising their company. Couldn't make out the company name because she had a accent. Told her to take me off their call list. We'll see if that happens.

On 7/16/10 in the evening, someone on this line "slipped up" and started talking in the background to another person.
I'm a novice in Spanish, French and Italian and quickly understood they weren't speaking any of these languages. To be honest, I have no idea what language they were speaking.
One of them said something that sounded like, "key-key-key". It was said very, very quick. I couldn't make any phonetic sounds from the other person.
Considering the number of complaints, this site and others, there's got to be a way to go after these people.
Someone actually talked with me using a different phone #. They are East Valley Financial solicitors regarding Visa & Master Cards at 5% interest. I am on the national registry of Do Not Call. Looks like it's time to take more actions.
I followed up on the information provided by "hmag" below for East Valley Financial. I was assured that my name would be removed from the automated dialing, including this one. We'll see. Since they had my name and telephone number, I was informed that this information was provided by Equifax and other credit reporting agencies, who sell their lists. Wonderful how that happens! I had the same things happen to me as the other people who commented about this number. For VERIZON CUSTOMER SERVICE CALL:1-800-922- 0204 They will not only block this number but all telemarketing calls as well.
These people keep calling, attempting to sell magazines. They get records from previous subscriptions, and then go into harassment mode. They need to be stopped.
For these unwanted calls – I put them in my address book but I set the ring tone to MUTE. Then I'm not wondering why that number looks familiar or if it is a valid call. ‘Cause they are not going to stop calling when they have that auto dial or they call enuff times to drive you up the wall. I tried to do that Do Not Call on all the office cell phones but was told if it is a business phone cell or land line you can’t - it is Business to Business. This number 201-977-1475 calls me constantly throughout the day. When I answer, they always hang up; there is never any response. If I call back it's a creepy sounding pre-recorded message. They don't state the name of the business, you get three options: 1.) talk to a customer service rep. 2.) take ur number off the call list or 3.) disconnect. I have tried option two several times and they continue to call, so I have tried option one and it never transfers me to a csr because of "the high-volume of calls". WTF
