Keep getting calls from this number. I do not pick up as I do not recognize the number - specifically the area code (now know it's in NJ - I'm in MA).
Messages are never left, which raises my suspicions. How to get rid of these guys??
Yes, this is a number that is used by mass telemarketers to call people. If you cal lit some operator will answer and say it could be one of many companies using their number so they don't know.
Best to go and file a police report that you are getting undesired calls from this number and tried to stop it but they won't The police will follow up and get the company to remove your number from their database. If it continues, keep filing police reports for harassment. Sooner or later the police will get them to stop calling.
I kept getting these phone calls and finally called them back and found out it was Dell. They said it was a "survey" call to check on customer satisfaction. I told them to take my phone number off the account and not to call and the person said it would take 48 hours. I already had this same issue with Dell but before they used an 800 number. Now it's this 201 number. We'll see if this works.
keep getting calls from 201-471-9853 asking if I got the $50 gas card. When I tell the person with an Indian accent that I have no idea who they are, he continues to ask if I got the gas card. I have not gotten any such card. Then when I ask him to remove my name and phone number from his records, he tells me he will do so if I pay for my subscription I signed up for. When I ask who the company is, he tells me "Member Services". I keep telling him I did not order any such subscription or products from him and he insists I have. I told him that I was going to report the phone number to the Better Business Bureau, he just keeps telling me to pay for the subscription. I did a search engine looking for "Member Services" 201-471-9853 , I find nothing but similar complaints. How can I get them to stop calling?
These calls started after using the "spacebagtogo.com" website. Company claims to be a "Member Services", and that I made a purchase for gas cards on "swiftyrewards.com" (which I didn't, and had never been to prior to their first calls). Viewed the website later, and had never seen it before. They had the last four of the credit card number I had used on the spacebagtogo.com website. Fortunately, I had used the PayPal plugin which generates a new unique number for each transaction.
If you ordered anything online that had to do with samples, free trials and only pay shipping...etc....this "phone number" is a scam....they bought your information from whomever you were doing business with or if you have been shopping they bought it from someone at a store you shopped at. I dont know how they do it or how to trace who may have done it, but I have not answered or called back the number, I purhased items on line and an hour later the calls started and havent stopped....so I googled the ph number and found this forum and many others complaining about this phone number. In my reading I found this number.... 1-866-407-1022 you can call it and ask to have your phone number removed from their list....they ask for a reference or code number...but I didnt have one. This is what i said...." I dont have a reference number....I was given this number to call so you could delete my phone number from your call list" she said...um...ok....she asked my last name...I told her..and boom..there was all my info. she put in the request and said it could take a couple days. adn I changed my account numbers on all my cards and accounts...just incase. so we'll see what happends.
Hello,I get call from 1 201 338 6189 at least twice a day.
Sometimes it calls me at midnight.
When I answered there was no answer on the other side.
However, I called back, the system said the number I called it doesn't exist.
It is really bugging me.

this number called to confirm a order i placed on line i said i placed no order online and they confirmed the last four of debit card and then was gone 2 hours later my bank account was and is drained completly with a additional 72 dollars taken out i filled a police report with my local sherrifs office and hve to wait till monday to see what my bank says THIS IS DANGEROUS SCAM DO NOT ANSWER THAT CALL
I am happy to know that I am not the only person getting these calls. I have been getting them all day and all night as well... not sure how to get rid of them!
File a complaint with the Trenton, NJ BBB this company is a scam. They go by the names of Belleza Products, Hydroxatone LLC, and Urban Nutrition.... They already have ALL your info on file and in a few months you'll be getting calls from collection agencies stating that you owe them for products they sent you..... Good luck they've been a great pain in the bottom......
Was contacted on Friday 11/6/09 by a man with a foreign accent. He was hard to understand, but sounded like he said company is Mmber Services. He tried to tell me about a $50 gas card.
I emphatically let him know I was not interested and my cell phone is actually a work phone.
Could be a marketing partner of Bromacleanse...don't order those products as they enroll you in 'sister' firms w/o informing you. Then new charges will appear on credit card for dining cards, etc. AND these calls started too.
This number is calling me many times thoughout the day ID is CI that is it they leave no message I want them to stop. They dont reguardless of what I tell them, I have called it back all I get is a busy signal on it. I am at the point now they may just hear more then what they are calling for.
Stop calling. I have gone through the procedure to have my number taken off the list 4 times and continue to call. It is starting to piss me off. I have no use for calls that are not even being completed. When I answer it hangs up. When I call back I can not get through to anyone. So stop calling me!
I have asked this company to stop calling me, and that I was not interested in the product. Nor did I know hoe they got my number. The have not stopped calling me, now I am very upset and have started to file complaints.
Did some research on the internet and this telephone number appears to be associated with a fake grant company that is trying to scam money from unsuspecting people.
their cc # is 800 5580664 - do a google search and you will see that other people complained about this - you probably signed up from a website to receive information - as such i did.
They call me twice a day, on my business line. No person answers. Calling back only gives a busy signal.
A google search of the number indicates we aren't the only ones getting called.
I got called by this number off and on for the past several months. When I pick up there's silence and then they hang up. The caler ID says Education Decisions.
