+1 661 Area Code Reports

The caller ask for a family member of mine that doesn't live at my house. I told him he had the wrong # and then he ask for me by name. He then proceeded to tell me that he is trying to finish paperwork and that he needed my husbands name. I ask where he was calling from and he said "from your husbands job", I told him that I didn't have a husband. The caller then called me "a f***ing whore" after that comment he said "bye slut". I hung up the phone. Please note this was @ 11:10pm 2-14-13, the caller id showed up as (ircaveman). The caller was a white male probably middle 20's. The call was very disturbing and I would love to know how he got the names of my family members!!

pretend they know me, dont know them, i hang up Ive reported them every where I can Iam tired of these calls

always call pretend they know me, I dont know them, have reported this call to every one police, FBI, FCC, sick of these people

We received 2 calls - one on our cell (where the number could be seen), another one came on home number with a caller id "skype user". The woman asked if our home (and she stated the correct address) was still for sale. This is scary crap going on. Is FBI doing anything about it?!?!?

I awnsered the phone and saw on the caller ID that it said "Skype User" so i was hesitant of picking up but i did! And right off the bat he tried talking to me as if we knew each other.But he kept talking without giving me a name so, i bluntly told him what is this for?.. he asked to speak to the owners of the home as i told them he is not here right now he then asked how old i was and said he was from the government and he wanted to ask or survey some questions..(so obviously he didnt care who i was as long as i gave him information) so i hung up! he called two more times. after the 3rd time i yelled at him and told him to STOP calling me!!

I contacted the FBI this morning in regards to this fraudulent company harassing me and my family continually throughout the day and evening. They are being watched and under investigation at this point. Spread the word to friends and family as they continue to sell predatory solicitations in which ever manner they can manipulate.

Just had a call from this man @ this no#. he said he was calling from Washington DC but I already ran his area code and it was a Skpe no# out of California. my computer was running bad already , so i thought he knew a little about it. he claimed he was calling from Microsoft and we have a security system we just put in and we are to get alerts from our local service. He had my computer ID# because I was looking at it on my end and he read it to me. then he wanted me to look at all the infections , but those were not infections they were lagitimate websites i had been on and I recognized them. just got of the phone with my computer repair guy, he said Microsoft never calls you about a virus. he also told me more than likely my PC has been compromised .This guy that called never gave a name.

The HR dept at my company got a call today from this number, asking for my husband who used to work here. The man said his name was Jim Patrick but had a really heavy foreign accent. Said he was from FedEx and had a package for my husband and wanted to know if he worked here. He hung up when HR told him no. Now that I know this is a scam I feel better...so it's probably random and not some nut job after my husband! Thanks for providing this information so we can all be a bit more cautious.

Got a call from this number 661-748-0240 the girl said that she was looking for a latin band for the May 25th Bermuda festival she said to call her back with a confirmation and fee at this number 441-535-2342 she said her name was Ximena so I called both number and both number are from Bermuda but both are disconnected ...I beleive this is a scam

I also did and they scammed me. They were stealing money from members at Chase account. DO NOT GET INVOLVED! T

I just received a Phone call from the same number: 1 661 748 0240; my ID caller shows SKYPE USER BULL Bakersfield, CA. The guy spoke with an Indian accent told me that when I bought my anti virus for $119.00 paid with my VISA I agreed to call the company back every month for manual cleaning of my computer. This is the third SAME phone call I have received in the last 6 months. I asked for the phone number of the company and I told him I would call back. The number he gave me is 1 866 815 9203. When I called back after 30 minutes he answered right away and I hung up.

I was called by a fake number in Japan as a response to an online teaching position I applied for but when I checked my voice-mail the real number 661-748-0240 was indicated as the source of the call which is a California number. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this until after my Skype interview where I was told we would have to set up a time for another online meeting where he can “check my connection” to make sure it was suitable for live instruction with the students. I said I wanted to see a contract first and his demeanor changed, he went on to say that he would have to check my connection first and that’s when a red flag went up and I knew it was a scam to hack my information from my computer. Also he was going on and on about the cold weather in Japan when the message was from California. It’s sad. BE WARNED!

tries selling something about home security. calling back goes to dead air.
