Call every few days and say they have concerns about my Windows computer. They have an Indian (country of India) accent. Sometime when I call them back the number just rings with no opportunity to leave a message. When I actually talked to them I told them that frankly i was very disgusted that they call so often and that I would never do business with them forever and hung up on them with a mild threat.
They called me and said they were doing a study from Columbia University about how New Yorkers are doing in the recession. They said they would give $15 to participate. I told them they called me about this last week and I declined and that I want to be taken off the list. After the first call, I looked into the number and it seems like a scam. She asked why and I told her that I don't give out personal information. She offered to give information that shows they're valid. I said, I'd rather just opt out. That was the end of it for now but I suspect they will keep calling and try to get even more personal information from me so that they can possibly steal identity.
Consistently calls from this number as well as others. They claim to be AMEX and I must say that they are very irritating. 1) Cancel my card without a reason and then say 'Oh BTW your payment is coming due...'; 2) I am 3 days past my due date and other than these calls I have yet to receive a letter as to why my card was cancelled (after 13 years). Until they send me my reason I will not pick up these calls.
