I have received calls from 000-000-0000 for the past two days. The recording explains how important passing the Health Care Bill is and that as a concerned citizen, I have to call my representatives and tell them to vote for the bill. Wonder who is paying the telemarketers.
Some of a marketing company called me all the time! How they can be so annoying? It was awful!
Now i really happy! Nobody can call me without my assent!
they call with no answer, think they wait to hear your name. been called a few times byu them when you call them back they refer you to the website itcgroup.com or an email address to contact them.
other forums have told about speaking to optus promotion tele-sales people.
very annoying might try to get my provider to block the number
is it any way to stop this nonsense from some computer geek that do not have anthing to do but be a pest to the average citzen find him and bring charges against the freak
Automated....i get it multiple times every day but it is from an unknow caller...."this is the second time we've called, the factory warranty on your car is about to expire....press one to speak to someone and extend it or 2 to be removed from our list....this is the final call" Yeah right! I've pressed two a few times, still calling....I'm gonna press one next time and find out who is wasting my time!
I didn't answer this call because I didn't recognize the #, and saw it was an international call. I have been getting some calls recently that left messages regarding lowering my credit card interest, which is ridiculous because I only use 0% interest cards. Obviously a scam, and I'm glad this site existed to let me know I did right by not answering!!!
Using Federal Gov lowered housing interest as the come 7 minutes of music that sounded as though it was possibly another country. Thought originally it was a 506 area code but too many numbers.... maybe it was Costa Rica... who knows.
I just wanted to give everyone an idea of how to find out whose calling you. I used this with my hubby when I didn't know the numbers of those females that were calling. For most numbers there is a name behind it so what I did was, I bought spoof minutes from spoofcard. com and from my cellphone I would call my house, which was the number I wanted to call and use the number of one of the females whose name I didn't know as my spoof number and when my house phone would ring, their name would show up on my caller id :) Now when those heffas call,l I call them out by name.
Some kind of telemarketing credit card scam. Says they want to lower my credit card rate. Uses a spoofed phone number. Claimed to be from "Card Services". Pressed "1" and spoke to "Chris". I asked for the real name of the company and their real phone number. I was treated to an onslaught of profanities, which I was kind enough to return. These scammers are calling in complete disregard for the no-call registry. I would like to find out who in the hell they are so that I can rip them a new one.
Looks like an international number, after googling +506, found out it comes from Costa Rica. The call was a recorded message to reduce credit card debt, I hung up.
Received repeated calls from telemarketer with recorded message to hold on if I have credit card debt. I clicked "one" for the live rep. She introduced herself and asked if I had credit card debt over $3000, I asked the name of the company. She hesitated. I asked again. She said "Account Financial Services." I asked if they were affiliated with someone - perhaps a credit card company. She didn't reply. I asked how she got my number since I was on the Do Not Call List. She hung up. This has happened twice with "live" reps. I Googled up Account Services Financial and there is no listing. I tried calling the number with and without a "1" and the message is thast the number is "unassigned."
These people call me every single day and because
the phone number looks so weird on my caller ID I
have not picked up the phone. It doesn't give a name.
It just says Out of Area. So today I finally picked it up because they never leave a message and I wanted to tell them to stop calling me or I would report them. Well, I picked up got an automated message informing me that they have been trying to contact me regarding my credit card interest rates going up and today was my last chance to make that NOT happen. They informed me to hold till I could be directed to someone to assist me. Well, I held for approximately one minute while annoying music played in the background. As I was holding I started feeling very uneasy and also know that my husband and I don't have any credit card debt. We have AMEX and pay it off every month. It appeared to me that they were going to try and get some information from me which I would never have done anyway. And, I used to work for a credit card company and there is no way American Express wouldn't have their name and number on their caller ID. It seems highly suspicious but I can't seem to get them to stop calling. The only reason I even held on was so I could ask them to stop calling. I ended up hanging up the phone. I don't know what kind of a scam this is but thank god for caller ID!!!!!
WTF!! I get calls on my cell phone from a 10000000000 number. The lady said I won a free alarm system for my house when I told her I rent an apartment she keep talking telling me how to clam my prize. I told her I wanted nothing to do with it and I still get the callsm WTF how do you get on the do not call list
I kept getting this call to lower our rates. I knew it was a scam but I wanted them to stop calling. So I pushed 1 and when the guy came on I asked which company he was calling from..he proceeded to curse me and call me a dumb $^#@ I asked to talk to his supervisor and he laughed, so I said I was reporting him to the FCC..he laughed again and said he was from another country. I did call the FCC and they were just useless to say the least. How frustrating these kinds of calls are. So I called the phone company and they can't block international calls even with call block..so I had to add another service on my phone that will filter them out and costs of course more $$.
called from this number. Acted like they were from my credit card company and said something about lowering rate. Said to push one to talk to a rep and press 2 for not doing anything. I pressed 1. A lady came on the phone and asked who she was speaking with. i said my name and then she hung up.
